Warehouse Material Handler I
CURIA provides global contract research and manufacturing services to the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries.
The Warehouse Material Handler I support our warehouse supervisor by carrying out all day to day activities of the warehouse department, which can include shipping, receiving, cycle counting and distributing equipment and materials to manufacturing, documentation and inventory control in accordance with cGMP procedures.

Supervisory responsibilities

Essential job duties
- Receive incoming materials (including GMP, engineering and non-inventory goods), products or supplies in accordance to procedure
- Assist Shipping Coordinator with outgoing shipments
- Process material transfer forms into Oracle to maintain up-to-date database
- Review kit requirements in accordance to batch records/protocols for manufacturing or engineering fills/studies
- Establish, maintain and update perpetual inventory system procedures as required
- Perform regularly scheduled cycle counts
- Assist in quarterly physical inventory taking and reconciliation vs. perpetual
- Review inventory for actual and physical obsolescence and report monthly with explanations and recommended disposition
- Organize and maintain inventory storage for maximum efficiency and compliance with cGMP requirements
- Drive company truck
Education, experience, certification and licensures
Required
High-school education or equivalent
Preferred
Minimum 1 years’ experience in material management, including inventory control responsibilities
ERP experience
Knowledge, skills and abilities
- Ability to operate equipment such as forklift and electric pallet jack
- Highly organized, detail oriented, accurate, with strong analytical skills
- Valid driver’s license required
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with a willingness to support various departments within the organization
- Proficient working with inventory control systems, metric systems, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee has the potential of being exposed to fumes or airborne particles and toxic or caustic chemicals (wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment will be required in these situations). Employee may be responsible for moving and/or generating hazardous waste for treatment, storage and disposal. Affected employee will need to be familiar with the applicable training requirements included in the customized Resources, Conservation and Recovery Act. Employee will understand waste labeling, secondary containment, chemical compatibility, storage time limits, container size and quantity limits, container integrity when waste is left unattended and improper disposal of hazardous materials.
