POSITION OVERVIEW AND PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS):

Afognak Native Corp has an opportunity for an On-Call Laborer. The On-Call Laborer reports to the Director of Property Management and its Alutiiq subsidiaries staff. This position provides manual labor assistance at the Afognak Alimaq Center on an On-Call basis. We are continually accepting resumes for the position and will contact those qualified and interested when work becomes available.

Perform tasks involving physical labor at the Afognak Alimaq Center
Set-up and break-down room configurations for special events including, but not limited to moving furniture, set up and take down of tables, chairs, podium, dance floor, etc.
Provide janitorial duties prior to and following events
Other duties and projects as assigned

Pay rate: $16.23 to $20.28 hourly

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Ability to communicate with the public in a professional and courteous manner and handle difficult situations
Must be timely in performing duties, maintain professional appearance
Must adhere to the Corporation’s confidentiality policy
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, and prioritize work effectively
Ability to follow directions and work with minimal supervision, be punctual and reliable
Required High School Diploma or GED
Valid state driver’s license with a clean driving record
Willing to work: days, evenings, nights, overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
