Job Description:
Excellent position for a MEP/HVAC Project Manager with 5 years of experience. EIT or a PE is a plus but not at all required. MUST have a solid background in designing and managing HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection engineering and design. You will not be doing MEP design (no AutoCAD or Revit design), you will only be reviewing Design and managing the projects. 50% based out of the downtown Manhattan office, and the other 50% site visits anything left over, is WFH!!
Responsibilities:
- Plans, coordinates, and oversees MEP related activities throughout all phases of pre-construction.
- Manages of team of 5 engineers to ensure their design and quality is code compliant and follows the client requirements, budget, and schedule.
- Communicates with clients on a regular basis.
- Applies applicable codes and standards to all MEP systems for all projects.
- Conducts inspections and site surveys for existing conditions.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Building Systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
- Commissioning experience desired.
- Strong understanding of the NEC, local, state, and international building codes.
- AutoCAD a MUST. (to check drawings, drafting is performed outside the US)
- Experience with HVAC systems in large multi-family and commercial buildings.
- Must be able to perform local field visits in the NYC area.
- Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification would be a PLUS.
- MUST have experience with the NYC Department of Buildings.
- Strong problem-solving skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, etc.
Education:
An engineering bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar is required. (BSME preferred.)
