About the Role
The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients and significant others through direct and/or telephone contact, following established standards and practices.
- Coordinate with other care team members to ensure seamless patient care
- Assist physicians with clinical procedures as needed
- Perform telephone triage to assess patient needs
- Participate in patient teaching to promote health and wellness
This position requires a full range of body motion, including moving and lifting patients, and may exert up to 100 pounds of force.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Registered nurse licensed to practice in New York State with current registration and in good standing
- Record of prior stable employment and/or favorable references
Prior experience as a registered nurse or two years as a licensed practical nurse in a pertinent practice area is preferred. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N.) and current BLS certification are also highly desirable.
