Job Title: Lathe Machinist III / Programmer
Description:
- Program, set up and operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) machine tools such as multi-axis lathes.
- Take raw metal stock from start to finish with minimal supervision.
- Stay current with the latest cutting tool technology and machining best practices.
- Translate customer designs and specifications into executable plans, determining speeds, feeds, tolerances and sequences of operation on various machine tools.
- Make precise adjustments to machines, conducting trial cuts as necessary.
- Refine finished metal through manual or automated processes.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments like vernier calipers, micrometers, surface gauges, profilometers, CMMs, vision systems and dial indicators.
- Apply trigonometric formulas to calculate complex angles and dimensions.
- Leverage shop mathematics and standard handbook formulas for planning and work layout.
- Maintain proficiency in computer software and other required technologies.

Working Conditions:
- 8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday.
- Overtime as needed.
