A global, leading tier 1 automotive parts manufacturer is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the re-engineering and remanufacturing of precision diesel fuel system components. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative solutions that enhance engine performance, efficiency, and sustainability.
What you will be doing as a Mechanical Engineer:
- Design and model re-engineered components using 3D/2D CAD tools.
- Evaluate and qualify returned parts for reuse and rework opportunities.
- Develop technical documentation, specifications, and validation plans.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve repair and assembly processes.
- Apply GD&T, tolerance analysis, and FMEA methodologies to ensure quality and reliability.
What you will need as a Mechanical Engineer:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- 3 years of experience in product remanufacturing or precision component design.
- Proficiency with 3D CAD software.
- Solid understanding of GD&T, DVP&R, and FMEA tools.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
