Career Training Academy (CTA), a nonprofit workforce development and educational training organization, is seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Part-Time Computer & Workforce Technology Instructor to teach adults and young parents preparing to enter or re-enter the workforce.
The ideal candidate will have experience teaching technology-related courses, utilizing Learning Management Systems (LMS), and supporting diverse learners in achieving industry-recognized certifications.
Responsibilities
- Teach workforce-focused technology courses, including:
- Cybersecurity & AI Foundations
- Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
- IC3 Digital Literacy
- Digital Workplace Readiness
- Basic Computer Skills
- Facilitate engaging virtual and/or in-person instruction.
- Manage courses within the organization's Learning Management System (LMS).
- Upload course materials, assignments, assessments, and student resources.
- Track attendance, participation, and student progress.
- Provide academic support and encouragement to adult learners and young parents.
- Assist students with certification preparation and testing readiness.
- Participate in occasional staff meetings and program planning activities.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's Degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Education, or a related field; equivalent professional experience will also be considered.
- Experience teaching adults, workforce development participants, or nontraditional learners.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals, artificial intelligence concepts, digital literacy, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard, Google Classroom, TalentLMS, or similar platforms).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Bilingual English/Spanish strongly preferred.
- Industry certifications are a plus, including:
- ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
- CompTIA A , Network , Security , or similar
- Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS)
- IC3 Digital Literacy
- Microsoft Certified Fundamentals certifications

Compensation
- Competitive hourly rate based on qualifications and experience.

Pay: $25.95 - $30.00 per hour
