Apartment Maintenance Technician

Career Strategies is actively seeking an experienced Apartment Maintenance Technician for a full-time opportunity in Duluth, MN. We are looking for a dependable, skilled, and customer-focused maintenance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced apartment community and takes pride in delivering quality repairs and exceptional resident service.
The ideal candidate will have experience with apartment maintenance, work orders, apartment turns, preventative maintenance, and general building repairs.
Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance work orders and resident service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Perform apartment turns, make-ready work, and move-in inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, drywall, painting, and carpentry issues
- Install, repair, and replace fixtures, faucets, toilets, appliances, doors, locks, and hardware
- Conduct preventative maintenance on building systems and equipment
- Maintain common areas, grounds, and overall property appearance
- Perform routine property inspections and identify maintenance concerns
- Assist with HVAC troubleshooting and basic repairs
- Ensure vacant apartments are move-in ready
- Follow all OSHA safety guidelines and company policies
- Provide outstanding customer service to residents and team members
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required
Qualifications
- 1 year of apartment or multifamily maintenance experience preferred
- Experience with plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, appliance repair, and general maintenance
- Experience completing work orders, apartment turns, and preventative maintenance
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- EPA Certification, HVAC experience, boiler experience, or CPO certification is a plus
