What are the responsibilities and job description for the Apartment Maintenance Technician position at Career Strategies - National?
Are you a problem-solver who doesn't mind rolling up your sleeves? We are looking for an Apartment Maintenance Technician to care for several small properties in Fond du Lac.
In this role, you will split your time between making small repairs and keeping the properties looking great through cleaning and painting. The best part? Even though you help cover 5 properties, you will be scheduled at just one property per day. No wasting your day driving back and forth across town unless there is an emergency!
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (40 hours/week)
- Flexible daytime schedule! (Set your 8 hours anywhere between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM)
The Role:
- Maintenance & Repairs: Handle basic work orders like minor plumbing (leaky faucets, flappers), light electrical (changing fixtures/switches), and basic carpentry or hardware fixes.
- Cleaning & Painting: Prep vacant units for new tenants (make-readies), perform touch-up painting, and handle general cleaning of common areas to keep our communities shining.
What We’re Looking For:
- General maintenance, handyman, or property upkeep experience.
- A team player willing to tackle both repair tasks and cleaning duties.
- Reliable, independent workers who can manage their own daily task list.
