Near Hollywood, FL| Start Immediately
Schedule: Monday - Friday (8:00 AM to 5:00 PM)
Pay: $20-$21 depending on experience
Career Strategies is seeking a skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to join a reputable property management team in and around Hollywood, FL. This is a great opportunity for someone with a solid background in general maintenance who takes pride in providing excellent service to residents and maintaining property standards.
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the physical aspects of the property are well-maintained and fully functional. This includes responding to service requests, performing routine maintenance tasks, and working closely with residents and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and repair issues related to:
- Electrical systems
- Plumbing
- Appliances
- Flooring, stairs, railings, and fixtures
- Perform drywall repairs, painting, and touch-ups
- Maintain cleanliness, pick up trash, and upkeep of common areas and grounds
- Prepare vacated units for new occupancy (make-ready tasks)
- Conduct regular inspections and respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
Core Skills & Requirements:
- Plumbing: Install/repair faucets, pipes, water heaters, garbage disposals, etc.
- Electrical: Repair/install outlets, switches, fixtures, ceiling fans, and more
- Drywall & Painting: Patch and paint walls, especially in turnover units
- Appliances: Install/repair refrigerators, ovens, washers/dryers, etc.
- Groundskeeping: Lawn care, tree trimming, light bulb replacement, debris removal
- Cleaning: Ensure common areas and vacated units are clean and ready
Qualifications:
- Must have your own basic tools
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Must pass a background check
