Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
- Prepare exam rooms and assist physicians during patient examinations.
- Record patient histories, vital signs, and other health information.
- Administer injections, perform EKGs, collect blood and lab specimens, and conduct basic laboratory tests.
- Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms and medical supplies.
- Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule patient appointments and manage calendars for providers.
- Verify insurance coverage and obtain prior authorizations as needed.
- Answer phones, respond to inquiries, and check patients in/out.
- Process medical records and maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems.
- Handle billing, coding, and basic office duties as required.
Qualifications
- Experience in pediatrics
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- Experience: 1 years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting preferred.
