The Apartment Maintenance Technician plays a vital role within our maintenance team, working under the supervision of a maintenance manager to ensure all apartment units and common areas are safe, functional, and well-maintained. This role involves performing routine preventive maintenance tasks as well as responding to occasional emergency repairs. The technician will utilize standard hand and power tools to address a variety of residential maintenance needs including plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting, while maintaining clear communication with tenants and adhering to safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine repairs and preventive maintenance tasks
- Handle painting, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry work
- Maintain safety compliance throughout all maintenance activities
- Communicate effectively with tenants regarding repair status and scheduling
- Respond to emergency repair calls occasionally
- Assist with groundskeeping as needed to maintain property appearance
