Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Heating Air Conditioning Technician located in Chicago, IL. The Heating Air Conditioning Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Daily tasks include diagnosing and troubleshooting system issues, performing preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance, and ensuring compliance with EPA standards and safety regulations. The technician will also handle basic plumbing and electrical work as required for HVAC systems.
Qualifications
- Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve HVAC system issues
- Knowledge of plumbing systems and preventive maintenance procedures
- Understanding of and experience with electrical systems related to HVAC equipment
- Familiarity with EPA standards and certifications, along with the ability to comply with environmental and safety guidelines
- Effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in HVAC systems is a plus
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
