Role Description
We are adding a BIM Drafter to help elevate our firmwide BIM standards and support project teams across multiple market types. In this role, you will lead the office’s BIM systems and digital tools to produce the highest quality, most consistent design and construction documents in the industry.
This is a position for someone who loves empowering others — a teacher, a leader, and a problem-solver who is excited to improve processes, support production staff, and champion better ways of working. This is a full-time, on-site Revit/BIM Drafter/Modeler role based in the Louisville Metropolitan Area.
- Lead all BIM modeling workflows and production processes across the firm
- Provide BIM/Revit onboarding for all new staff and develop firm-wide training sessions and workshops
- Continue development of Revit templates and refine documentation standards to reduce time to produce final Construction Documents
- Track efficiency improvements and report progress to leadership quarterly
- Evaluate new tools and participate in standards and software discussions
- Collaborate with project teams to troubleshoot issues, improve production efficiency, and increase job satisfaction
- Support project modeling by setting up Revit files, managing content libraries, and creating Revit families as needed
- Lead BIM coordination and clash detection for assigned projects
- Participate in yearly training and professional development to remain at the forefront of BIM leadership
The Revit/BIM Drafter/Modeler will be responsible for producing accurate and detailed architectural models and drawings using Revit software. Day-to-day tasks include interpreting and applying project specifications, coordinating and integrating design elements from multiple disciplines, troubleshooting technical issues in drawings or models, and ensuring adherence to company and industry standards. The role also involves collaborating with project teams to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications:
Required
- 2 years of BIM production experience (Revit-focused)
- Experience working in an architecture firm
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
- Strong skills in architectural drafting, design interpretation, and model creation
- Experience with technical problem-solving and adherence to industry standards
Preferred (but not required)
- 3–5 years of BIM experience
- Experience leading or supporting BIM/CADD implementation
- BA/BS or Associate degree or equivalent professional experience
- Familiarity with Bluebeam, SketchUp, or Enscape
- Proficiency with Revit, BIM software, and other drafting tools
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations is advantageous

Pay: $38.00 - $42.00 per hour
