Join Our Team as a Staff Accountant - Development!
As a Staff Accountant, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financials while partnering closely with our Development team. This is an opportunity to take ownership of project accounting, contribute to process improvements, and deliver high-quality support across a dynamic portfolio.
What You'll Do:
Accounting Data & Systems: Own the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting by managing full-cycle accounting, including general ledger activity, reconciliations, budgeting, and financial analysis. Support development and capital projects, including monitoring and budgeting activities while ensuring data integrity across systems.
External Department Support: Act as a key accounting resource for the Development team, offering guidance on accounting treatment, financial considerations, and system navigation to support informed decision‑making.
Teamwork & Internal Department Support: Collaborate across the Accounting team to meet deadlines, support shared goals, and contribute to a positive, high-performing environment while identifying opportunities to improve processes.
What You'll Bring:
- 2 years of experience as a Project or Development Accountant or equivalent accounting experience
- Experience in Real Estate, Development, and/or Project Accounting is strongly preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting software required; MRI and project/job costing software experience preferred

Our Compensation Philosophy:
The total compensation for this position is $83,000 - $100,500 (inclusive of base bonus). The base pay offered may vary depending on the job-related knowledge, skills, and experience of the candidate. Fenton’s goal is to ensure performance-based compensation that is motivating and competitive – and we adopt a pay-for-performance approach.
