Summary:
The Plant Manager manages day-to-day operations at the DeWitt, IA manufacturing plant. The non-unionized facility employs approximately 150 employees over two shifts. The facility has an on-site Quality Supervisor, Planner, Engineer, and HR Manager whose supervisors are located at LITTLE TREES headquarters in Watertown, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day production output.
- Ensure that product is manufactured to specifications.
- Understand production processes and equipment.
- Advise on new equipment and process improvements. Coordinate installation.
- Oversee facility operations.
- Appointing and supervising of Assistant Plant Manager and all production supervisors.
- Provide direction, training, and development of plant personnel.
- Forecast and maintain the necessary staffing levels for the facility.
- Partner with Human Resources for hiring, retention efforts, and employee performance.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience managing in a manufacturing environment.
- Detailed knowledge of plant and manufacturing operations
- Experience in Printing is advantageous
