Curbell, Inc. has a Part Time Manufacturing Engineer Internship available for Summer 2026 (May- August). The internship duration is approximately 10 weeks, with flexible scheduling of 20–30 hours per week.
Curbell's internship program provides students the opportunity to gain practice, challenging and meaningful on-the-job experience. The Internship experience varies depending on the department, but will offer a unique opportunity within the corporate workforce for Junior or Senior students pursuing a degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related field. From the start, interns are challenged to demonstrate their strengths and apply their knowledge to help us achieve our business strategy.
As an intern you will:
- Support manufacturing engineering initiatives through hands-on project work focused on production efficiency, organization, and Lean methodologies
- Assist in developing and improving build instructions, including creating supporting video content for training and standardization
- Contribute to the design and implementation of Kanban systems to enhance inventory control and workflow management
- Participate in ergonomics assessments to help optimize workstation design and improve safety and productivity
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Engineers and technicians to gain real-world experience in a production environment
- Apply Lean manufacturing tools and principles to drive continuous improvement efforts across operations
