Director of Tech Solutions

The Director of Technology Solutions will serve as the company's senior technical leader for business development and proposal efforts while driving innovation initiatives, supporting customer delivery teams, and advancing internal automation efforts. This is a player-coach position requiring both strategic leadership and direct technical contribution. The ideal candidate is a highly technical leader who can develop winning customer solutions, communicate effectively with executives and customers, lead innovation initiatives, and personally contribute to solution architecture, software development, and AI-enabled capabilities. This individual thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment and can translate emerging technologies into measurable business value for both customers and CSSI.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Growth and Solution Development (60%)

• Lead technical solutioning for business development, capture, and proposal efforts.
• Develop winning technical approaches, architectures, staffing strategies, and innovation concepts.
• Author and review technical proposal content and customer-facing materials.
• Present technical solutions to customers and support oral presentations.
• Drive adoption of AI and emerging technologies within customer solutions.

Innovation and Product Development (20%)

• Lead internal innovation initiatives and technology strategy.
• Drive AI-enabled rapid prototyping through product development.
• Evaluate and mature emerging technologies that create competitive advantage.

Technical Delivery Leadership (10%)

• Provide guidance and technical leadership to project and program teams.
• Promote adoption of modern technologies, engineering practices, and AI capabilities.

Process Automation (10%)

• Lead internal automation initiatives across business functions.
• Partner with shared services teams to implement AI-enabled workflows and process improvements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 15 years of software development and technology leadership experience.
• Expert-level software architecture and software engineering experience.
• Deep hands-on experience with Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Generative AI technologies.
• Strong proposal writing, technical writing, communication and customer presentation skills.
• Experience leading technical teams while remaining actively engaged in technical execution.
• Experience with AWS cloud technologies and cloud-native architectures.
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate (or equivalent) certification required.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Must reside in the Washington, DC Metropolitan area 

Preferred Qualifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional certification.
• Experience with Azure and Google Cloud Platform.
• AI/ML, Data Engineering, or Cloud certifications.
• Experience supporting FAA, NASA, DoW, or other federal civilian agencies.
• Advanced degree in a technical discipline.
