Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced Enterprise Architect to lead architecture and strategy for enterprise-scale IT initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Azure cloud technologies, DevOps, and Agile/Scrum frameworks, with the ability to serve as a technical lead and advisor across a complex technology landscape. This is a hybrid role based in Richmond, VA, requiring strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as the technical lead on large-scale IT projects, guiding architecture and implementation from end to end.
Define and implement enterprise-level architecture using Azure Cloud Services including:
Azure App Services
Azure Functions
Azure DevOps
Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
Azure Storage
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless applications.
Lead CI/CD pipeline development and automate infrastructure using ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
Monitor and optimize performance using Azure Monitor and Application Insights.
Work with both SQL and NoSQL database platforms, such as Azure SQL and Cosmos DB.
Promote secure coding practices, role-based access control (RBAC), and adherence to compliance frameworks like GDPR and ISO.
Guide junior developers and foster best practices, code quality, and mentorship.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and key business stakeholders to align technical solutions with business goals.
Effectively communicate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
15 years of IT experience, with 13 years in a technical leadership role.
10 years of experience with Azure Cloud services.
10 years of hands-on experience with C#, .NET, Python, or JavaScript.
10 years of designing and deploying RESTful APIs and microservices.
10 years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code.
Strong knowledge of Azure monitoring/logging tools and cloud-based database solutions.
Proven experience guiding teams through the full SDLC in Agile/Scrum environments.
Demonstrated problem-solving, architectural decision-making, and communication skills across distributed teams.
