We are seeking an experienced Agentic Data Engineer to join our team in Richmond, VA. This role is critical for designing, developing, and optimizing data pipelines and architectures that enable advanced AI and agentic systems. The ideal candidate will combine deep expertise in data engineering, cloud technologies, and AI frameworks to create scalable and intelligent solutions that drive business innovation.

• Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop data pipelines for agentic systems, ensuring robust data flows and seamless interaction between AI agents and diverse data sources.

  • Build and maintain data architectures, including databases and data lakes, to support complex data engineering tasks.

  • Develop and manage Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) processes to ensure accurate and efficient data movement from source systems to analytical platforms.

  • Integrate AI agent frameworks with enterprise data systems.

  • Train and fine-tune large language models (LLMs) for specialized applications.

  • Work with cloud AI services, including:

    • Azure Machine Learning

    • Azure Computer Vision

    • Azure Video Indexer

    • Azure OpenAI models

    • Azure Media Services

    • Azure AI Search

  • Utilize Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lakes, Azure Databricks in data solutions.

  • Apply knowledge of Graph databases to model and query complex data relationships.

  • Work with GIS spatial data to:

    • Create map markers using latitude/longitude

    • Analyze nearest road topology

    • Perform geolocation and correlation between datasets.

  Required Qualifications:

  • 10 years of experience in data engineering.

  • Azure Certification and proven hands-on experience with Azure data and AI services.

  • Strong knowledge of AI concepts and agentic system integration.

  • Deep experience in data pipeline design, development, and optimization.

  • Proficiency in building ELT processes and working with large-scale data systems.

  • Ability to train and fine-tune LLMs.

  • Expertise with Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lakes, Azure Databricks.

  • Experience implementing Azure ML, Computer Vision, Video Indexer, OpenAI, Media Services, AI Search.

  • Familiarity with Graph DBs.

  • GIS spatial data handling and geospatial analytics experience.

  Soft Skills (Must-Have):
