Position Summary
We are seeking an energetic and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient therapy team. The PTA will work under the supervision and direction of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality, evidence-based care focused on restoring function, reducing pain, and helping patients return to their daily activities, work, and recreational goals.
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized treatment plans established by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Guide patients through therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques (as directed), and functional movement activities.
- Provide patient education on home exercise programs, injury prevention, and wellness strategies.
- Monitor, document, and report patient progress toward established goals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with clinic, state, and payer requirements.
- Assist with clinic flow, patient scheduling coordination, and maintaining a clean, safe treatment environment.
- Support a positive patient experience and contribute to a collaborative outpatient team culture.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) program.
- Current State PTA License (or eligibility for licensure).
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to motivate and engage patients across a wide range of orthopedic and functional conditions.
