We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part-time Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) to join our team in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). The OTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help residents regain independence and improve their ability to perform daily living tasks following illness, injury, or age-related decline.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement occupational therapy treatment plans as developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist (OT).
- Assist residents in performing activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding, and toileting.
- Instruct and motivate residents in therapeutic exercises and activities to promote functional independence.
- Observe, record, and report resident progress, responses to treatment, and any changes in condition to the supervising OT.
- Ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and compliant with facility policies and regulatory standards (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid).
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current state licensure or certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
- Valid certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
- Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric setting preferred.
Compensation
$50,000-$85,000 Depending on experience.
