We are seeking a versatile and dedicated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide support in a home health environment. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT), the COTA will assist in delivering individualized therapy services to clients in their homes. The ideal candidate is flexible, organized, and passionate about helping individuals across the lifespan develop the skills necessary for daily living and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement OT treatment plans to assist clients in regaining independence in daily activities.
- Educate clients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, safety strategies, and home exercise programs.
- Conduct home safety checks and suggest environmental modifications when appropriate.
- Document client progress and report any changes in status to the supervising OT.
- Travel to client homes and manage appointments independently, adhering to agency policies and safety standards.
Qualifications:
- Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
- Current certification/licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) in the state of practice.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for home visits
- Comfortable working independently in varied environments
Compensation:
$50,000-$85,000 Depending on experience.
