Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team in a permanent, full-time role. This position offers a diverse mixed caseload, including hand therapy, outpatient adult rehabilitation, and inpatient skilled nursing facility (SNF) services. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, adaptable, and eager to work across multiple clinical settings while delivering high-quality care under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Occupational Therapist
• Treat adult patients with a variety of orthopedic, neurological, and functional conditions
• Assist with hand therapy interventions, including post-surgical and non-surgical upper extremity conditions (training provided if needed)
• Provide outpatient adult rehabilitation services focused on functional independence
• Deliver inpatient SNF therapy services, collaborating with nursing and interdisciplinary teams
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising OT
• Document daily treatment notes and patient responses in a timely and accurate manner
• Educate patients and caregivers on exercises, adaptive equipment, and functional strategies
• Maintain compliance with state licensure, facility policies, and payer requirements

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current Montana COTA license or certification
• Experience or interest in hand therapy, outpatient rehab, and SNF settings
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a supervising OT
