M&A Mid-Level Associate
Location: Chicago Office
Compensation: $310,000 – $390,000
Overview
A highly regarded international law firm is seeking a mid-level associate to join its Corporate practice group in Chicago. This position offers the opportunity to advise prominent financial sponsors and strategic buyers and sellers on a wide range of mergers and acquisitions and private equity matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent financial sponsors and corporate clients in complex M&A and private equity transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate acquisition, disposition, and related transaction agreements.
- Provide guidance on transaction structuring, deal execution, and risk management.
- Collaborate with partners and multidisciplinary teams to manage transactions through closing.
- Support practice development and contribute to strengthening client relationships.
Qualifications
- Four to six years of M&A and private equity experience at a leading law firm.
- Proven experience advising both financial sponsors and strategic buyers/sellers on a variety of transactions.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with expertise in acquisition/disposition agreements and related documentation.
- Admission to the Illinois Bar is required.
- Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Salary : $310,000 - $390,000
