Career Land Center is hiring for a Vice President of Surgical Services at a 422-bed, Magnet-designated facility in Denver, CO, a recognized leader in comprehensive women's services, orthopedics and total joint replacement, heart and vascular care, bariatric surgery, sports medicine, and aesthetic surgery.
Responsibilities:
Report to the COO and lead a surgical services division of approximately 125 FTEs across 23 operating rooms in two locations, supported by a Director of Surgical Services and three managers. Drive strategic planning and business development for the service line, identifying new service offerings, technology advances, and market opportunities, with a primary elective outpatient focus spanning bariatrics, orthopedics, GYN, plastics, and reconstruction.
Own clinical quality, directing evidence-based practice adoption, patient safety initiatives, and throughput strategies including capacity planning and volume forecasting across roughly 750 surgeries per month. Lead financial stewardship, developing operating and capital budgets, prioritizing capital equipment, and managing variable costs and labor productivity. Build physician alignment and referral networks to strengthen the service line's market position.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree or an approved education plan preferred. 5 years of applicable experience in Surgical Services required, including acute care experience. Minimum of 2–3 years of Director-level experience required.
