A healthcare facility is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide inpatient respiratory care services and support patients with a variety of respiratory conditions. This on-site position plays an important role in assessing, treating, and managing respiratory needs while collaborating with the healthcare team to deliver safe and effective patient care.
Responsibilities
Provide direct respiratory care services, including patient assessment, treatment, and ongoing respiratory management.
Perform respiratory therapy procedures according to established clinical standards and protocols.
Manage ventilator support and assist with airway care for patients requiring respiratory interventions.
Administer prescribed respiratory treatments and monitor patient response.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care.
Document respiratory assessments, treatments, and patient outcomes accurately.
Maintain compliance with department policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Support quality patient care through effective communication, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making.
Requirements
Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy, required.
RRT license in the state of Arkansas, required.
BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications, required.
Preferred: Ability to work in physically demanding environments with exposure to biological and chemical hazards.
Preferred: Strong critical thinking skills, reliability, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
