Information Resources Associate (IRA) - New York, NY (hybrid)
International, multi-strategy investment manager is seeking an Associate to join its innovative and collaborative team of information professionals managing a wide array of investment research resources. The IRA is part of the Research Services team and reports to the Global Director of Research Services. This is a global role, and the IRA will liaise with internal colleagues and external vendors primarily in the US and Europe. The Research Services team is central in identifying and onboarding a wide array of research resources in support of the investment process, managing the firm’s relationships with its research and data suppliers. You will have the opportunity to support and learn from a team of experienced information professionals.
Responsibilities
- To support the Research Services team, a team of six, in its vendor onboarding and contract lifecycle processes.
- To take charge of the firm’s partnership with its third-party subscription manager ensuring newspaper and journal subscriptions are onboarded and renewed, or cancelled, according to the election of end-users. You will have the opportunity to refine this process as well.
- Support the Research Services team with invoice review and budget analysis.
- In addition to the Research Services team, you will interact with investment, research, legal, and compliance professionals across the firm as well as with external sales professionals on the vendor side. The Research Services team is central in identifying, diligencing, and onboarding research providers and managing the lifecycle of all resulting licenses. The team is also charged with developing and maintaining productive relationships with such providers and prospective providers.

Qualifications
- Have 2 years of professional work experience preferably in a law firm, library, or corporate information/research center setting.
- Be comfortable managing competing priorities and working in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Possess excellent oral and written communication skills; you will need to communicate fulsomely, confidently, effectively, and professionally with external vendors, internal clients, colleagues, etc.
- Have solid organizational and follow through skills
- Have advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Hold an undergraduate degree (required) and master’s degree in library science (required)
Compensation: $100-120K base plus discretionary bonus and competitive benefits package
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
