Vice President of Finance
Location: Miami, Florida
Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site
An entrepreneurial and rapidly growing real estate investment and development platform is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead and scale the firm’s financial infrastructure during a pivotal period of growth. This individual will oversee accounting, reporting, development finance, investor reporting, and systems implementation across a complex multi-entity environment. The ideal candidate is both highly technical and commercially minded, with the ability to operate autonomously in a lean, fast-paced platform while partnering closely with executive leadership.
Responsibilities
- Lead all accounting and financial reporting across ParentCo, SPVs, JV entities, and co-investment structures while overseeing monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
- Manage GAAP-compliant reporting, audits, tax coordination, and institutional-quality financial statements across a complex real estate platform
- Oversee development budgets, construction cost tracking, lender reporting, draw processes, and project-level compliance requirements
- Prepare investor reporting packages, capital account statements, capital calls, distributions, and waterfall calculations
- Partner closely with executive leadership to streamline financial systems, improve operational infrastructure, and support ongoing platform growth
Requirements
- Miami-based or willing to relocate immediately with the ability to work full-time on-site in a fast-paced environment
- Strong understanding of commercial real estate development, investment platform operations, and multi-entity financial structures
- Experience operating within lean, entrepreneurial organizations with significant ownership and autonomy
- Hands-on experience building, implementing, or upgrading financial infrastructure, reporting workflows, and accounting systems
- Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills with the ability to work directly with principals, investors, lenders, and external partners
Qualifications
- 12 years of experience within real estate private equity, development, or RE-focused accounting and finance environments
- Deep expertise in commercial real estate accounting, JV structures, investor reporting, and promote/waterfall calculations
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP, audits, financial controls, capital administration, and institutional reporting standards
- Direct NetSuite experience required, including implementation or systems integration experience; experience with Carta or similar platforms preferred
- CPA strongly preferred, with prior experience within institutional real estate investment firms, developers, or Big 4 real estate advisory groups highly valued
