Qualifications
High school diploma
One to two years of office experience preferred
Proficiency in typing (40 wpm minimum) and filing
Computer and word processing skills preferred
Knowledge of general office procedures
Good use of English grammar, business English, spelling, and punctuation

Job Goal
To assist in the smooth and efficient operation of the department.
Essential Functions
Types and files reports, correspondence, and other office materials according to a prescribed format.
Serves as a receptionist.
Assists with scheduling and setting up meetings.
Carries out complex oral and written directions with a minimum of supervision.
Receives incoming telephone calls and mail.
Takes messages and disseminates messages and information appropriately.
Prepares materials and reports as directed.
Performs other related duties as requested or assigned.
Evaluation
Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on evaluation of personnel.
