Career Consulting Partners has partnered with one of California’s premier plaintiff-side employment law firms, headquartered in Los Angeles, CA, and dedicated to protecting the rights of workers across the state. They have grown into a dynamic team of over 150 professionals in five offices, all united by their commitment to excellence, mentorship, and client advocacy.
We are looking for a motivated Associate Attorney for the San Diego office near Sorrento Valley who is eager to gain practical, hands-on litigation experience. The ideal candidate is a Plaintiff Employment Attorney with 2 to 6 years of experience. You will appear in court, handle depositions, manage your own cases, and learn directly from some of California’s top trial lawyers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage a docket of employment law cases from inception through trial
- Conduct comprehensive legal research and draft pleadings, discovery responses, motions, and trial briefs
- Take and defend depositions with confidence and professionalism
- Represent clients in court, arguing motions and presenting persuasive advocacy
- Collaborate closely with clients to develop and refine case strategies
- Participate in mediations, arbitrations, and settlement negotiations
- Support trial preparation and serve as second chair when needed
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar
- Minimum of 2 to 6 years of litigation experience (employment law a must).
- Strong experience in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills
- A strong desire to grow as a trial lawyer and litigator
- Experience with trial or trial-prep is a plus

- Base Compensation Range: $130,000 - $170,000
