Position Overview
The Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) works directly with students with autism in a school-based setting. You’ll support behavior, communication, and social skill development using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) strategies.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct classroom support to students
- Implement behavior plans and IEP goals
- Track and document student progress
- Support communication, social, and behavioral development
- Collaborate with teachers, Behavior Consultants, and school staff
- Participate in ongoing supervision and training
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Experience with children preferred (not required)
- Interest in education, psychology, behavioral health, or human services
- Patient, structured, and team-oriented
- Ability to pass required background checks and clearances
No prior ABA experience required — training provided
