Our well established client is seeking a personable and dedicated Spanish-Speaking Receptionist for a temporary (minimum of 4 months) role in their Buffalo, NY legal office. The hourly pay rate is $23.63 and offers an additional biweekly payroll stipend. This wonderful non-profit offers a 35/hour work week and work/life balance!
- The successful candidate must be bi-lingual with the ability to read, write and speak both Spanish and English.
- We are seeking someone that is compassionate, detail-oriented and dedicated to providing excellent service to those in need. Position Summary: The Bi-lingual Receptionist will play a crucial role in supporting those in the Buffalo office by:
- Answering, screening, or forwarding calls, providing information, taking messages, or scheduling appointments.
- Greeting persons entering establishment, determine nature and purpose of visit, and directing or escorting them to specific destinations.
- Scheduling appointments and maintain and update appointment calendars.
- Hearing and resolving complaints from customers or the public by analyzing data to determine answers.
- Performing clerical duties like filing, maintaining records, data entry, faxing/scanning documents, collecting and disbursing mail and supply inventory.
- Receiving payment and recording receipts for services.
- Performing administrative support tasks, such as proofreading, transcribing handwritten information, or operating calculators or computers to work with pay records, invoices, balance sheets, or other documents.
- Transmitting information or documents to customers, using computer, mail, or facsimile machine.
- Providing information about establishment, such as location of departments or offices, employees within the organization, or services provided.
- Processing and preparing memos, correspondence, travel vouchers, or other documents.
- Keeping up to date and current records of staff whereabouts and availability.
- Taking orders for merchandise or materials and send them to the proper departments to be filled.
- Interpreting phone calls and translate letters and documents for and from Spanish-speaking clients.Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/Equivalent.
- Bilingual in both Spanish and English.
- At least 1 year of prior experience working in a legal setting as a receptionist/administrative professional.
- Must be able to work in a professional office environment, including operating at a workstation and attending meetings.
- Travel to off-site meetings and hearings as needed.
