Project Manager / Architect – Charlotte, NC
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager / Architect (Licensed) to lead projects and mentor staff across all phases—from early planning through construction administration. This role is ideal for someone who excels in managing complex, public-sector projects while balancing design excellence, technical coordination, and client communication.
What You’ll Do
- Lead multi-phase projects, particularly in education, civic, and higher-ed sectors
- Oversee design, documentation, and construction administration
- Coordinate closely with contractors to manage RFIs, shop drawings, and site visits
- Prepare fee proposals, schedules, staffing plans, and contracts
- Use tools such as Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and Procore
- Support pursuit strategies, proposal development, and interview preparation
- Maintain high levels of design quality, technical accuracy, and project performance
What We’re Looking For
- Licensed Architect (NCARB required)
- Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch, M.Arch) or approved licensure path
- 10–15 years of architectural experience, including 5 years in a Senior PM role
- Experience managing publicly funded projects is highly preferred
- Strong ability to lead teams and communicate clearly with clients and stakeholders
- Skilled in navigating multiple deadlines while maintaining consistency and quality
- Established network within K–12, higher-ed, civic, or community college sectors
- Strong writing, presentation, and coordination skills
Preferred Certifications
AIA, CSI, LEED AP, WELL AP, CPTED (not required but encouraged)
