Culinary Careers Management Aide

Qualifications:  The Culinary Careers Management Aide shall have at least a high school diploma or equivalent.  The successful candidate will possess strong organizational, communications and public relations skills and will be able to work with students, staff and the public.  The candidate shall have a minimal knowledge of restaurant procedures, sanitation, serving, kitchen equipment operation including dish washing and cashiering procedures. 

Duties:  

• Performs non-teaching classroom and student support services under the direct supervision of the teacher.  
• Assists the teacher in the kitchen and restaurant. 
• Assists students with kitchen duties including food preparation, menu planning, food orders, laundry, table/serving set up, restaurant operation and cleaning tables/equipment after serving meals. 
• Assists the teacher and students with cashiering and cash register operations.
• Assists with processing the necessary documentation verifying restaurant receipts and invoices (restaurant sales deposits, office filing, and all monies deposited with the Treasurer).
• Exemplifies professionalism that advances the district’s public image.
• Helps students understand/embrace ethical conduct and values.
• Takes initiative to perform routine tasks independently.
• Maintains open/effective communications. 
• Keeps current with technology and other skills associated with work assignments.
• Takes precautions to ensure safety.
• Performs other specific job-related duties as directed. 

Contract:  2025-2026 contract for 57 contracted days during the school year (including 4 paid holidays), 5 hours per day.  The successful candidate must obtain an Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education prior to the start of employment. 

Salary:  Placement on the Appropriate Educational Aide Adopted Salary Schedule.
