Position Summary
This position will support multiple grant-funded research and evaluation projects for research teams led by PI Karen Cellarius at PSU’s Regional Research Institute for Human Services. Tasks include processing data collected by others, including tracking it as it comes in, entering it into data analysis software, and coding it for further analysis. In addition, the person in this position will assist with coordinating data collection and report writing. Proof reading reports for accuracy and style will be a large part of this position.
This is an intermittent, grant funded appointment

The starting hourly rate for this position will be between $22.84 and $26.20. The starting hourly rate may be negotiable above this range, however it will be dependent upon the knowledge, experience, skills and abilities of the chosen candidate, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.

Minimum Qualifications From Classification
- College level courses in statistics (at least six quarter hours); research methods and techniques (e.g., research design, sampling, surveying, etc.); and computer software application or packages (e.g., Statistical Analyses System, Lotus 1-2-3, etc.); OR
- Three years of experience assisting with the gathering, compiling, analyzing, and reporting of research information and statistical data plus assisting with the drafting of this information into narrative or statistical reports,; OR
- An equivalent combination of training and experience.
Transcripts may be required for all required and/or related courses.
Additional Minimum Qualifications For This Position
- Experience in copy editing and formatting
- Experience coordinating data collection and processing
- Topical knowledge of human services, especially Trauma Informed Care, Zero Suicide in health systems, homeless youth
- Experience with data analysis and report writing software, including SPSS, Qualtrics,
- Excel, Word, and PowerPoint as well as Google Docs and Google Sheets
- Coursework in data analysis, copy editing and formatting
