As the Business Development Associate, you will drive revenue growth by identifying, engaging, and developing potential leads. This role combines proactive outreach and responsive follow-up to understand prospect needs and guide them through the sales funnel toward conversion.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify leads through referrals, events, and inbound channels
- Build and maintain relationships through personalized outreach and follow-ups
- Educate internal teams on charitable giving and the philanthropic landscape
- Develop strategies to nurture leads and address inquiries
- Manage leads through the pipeline, ensuring timely follow-up and alignment with sales goals
- Collaborate with the sales team to support conversion efforts
- Track lead activity and report on progress and conversion rates
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field
- Proven success meeting sales/fundraising goals, ideally in financial services, complex assets, wealth management, or large nonprofits
- Deep knowledge of donor-advised funds, charitable giving tools, and financial products
- Strong communication skills and ability to build trust with ultra-high-net-worth clients, foundations, and family offices
- Skilled in sales strategy, negotiation, and presentations
- Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated and collaborative team player
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Salesforce
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and events
- CFP or similar certification, preferred
- Knowledge of portfolio construction and asset allocation, preferred
- Experience managing philanthropic services for UHNW clients, preferred
