TITLE: Teacher, Broadcasting/Music Production - Career & Tech
TERM OF EMPLOYMENT: 10 Month - PART TIME, Morning Session
REPORTS TO: Career & Tech Building Principal
TYPICAL WORK ACTIVITIES: Provide training to juniors and seniors with classroom instruction, project-based learning, and hands-on skills that would prepare students to be college and career ready in the fields of broadcasting and music production occupations.
- Communicate with parents, teachers, home school counselors and others involved with the education of the student
- Maintain discipline in the classroom and work sites
- Monitor students’ academic progress including, but not limited to, progress/marking period grades, attendance, and hands-on performance skills
- Implement 504 plans and IEPs for students with diverse learning needs
- Keep current with changes and developments in public safety industries
- Other responsibilities as determined by the CTE Principal
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Teaching and work experience as an audio producer/technician, digital audio editor, musician, sound designer, radio broadcasting/producing preferred. Excellent interpersonal skills and work ethic.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have or be eligible for: NYS Certified Media Communications 7-12 or Business Marketing.
