Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Transport Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting passengers and goods to designated locations while providing excellent customer service. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, effective communication skills, and the ability to handle various driving situations. Experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, or commercial driving is highly desirable.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate vehicles to transport passengers and goods according to scheduled routes.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting passengers with boarding and disembarking.
- Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, ensuring all necessary maintenance checks are performed regularly.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding schedules and any potential delays.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road.
- Assist with heavy lifting as required for loading and unloading cargo or assisting passengers.
- Document any incidents or issues that occur during transport in accordance with company policies.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in shuttle driving, delivery driving, bus driving, or similar roles is preferred.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with passengers and team members.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed for transporting goods or assisting passengers.
- Familiarity with paratransit services is a plus.
- Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge is advantageous.
- A commitment to safety and customer service excellence.
