Lead Teacher position

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this vital role, you will inspire young learners, foster a nurturing classroom environment, and lead curriculum development efforts that promote holistic child development. Duties

• Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring they align with developmental milestones and curriculum standards
• Develop, implement, and adapt lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods
• Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques and effective classroom management strategies
• Support early intervention initiatives and tailor instruction to meet the diverse needs of children, including those requiring special education services
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones
• Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and childcare staff to promote professional growth and maintain high-quality care
• Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations such as first aid and CPR certifications, and child welfare policies

Skills

• Extensive experience in early childhood education, preschool teaching, or daycare settings with a strong understanding of childhood development principles
• Proven ability in curriculum development across various domains including literacy, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning
• Skilled in classroom management techniques that foster a positive learning environment for toddlers and preschoolers
• Knowledge of special education practices, early intervention strategies, and standardized testing procedures for young children
• Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners
• Experience working with children with diverse needs including those requiring additional support or accommodations
• 2 year Degree in Child Development or related fields.
• at least 2000 hours of Daycare experience.

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
