Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), or Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide exceptional patient-centered care across various healthcare settings. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
- Monitor and record vital signs accurately, maintaining detailed medical documentation in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner.
- Support medication administration under supervision, ensuring proper handling and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Provide specialized care for individuals with conditions such as dementia, Alzheimer's disease, or developmental disabilities, including memory care and behavioral health support.
- Assist with medical procedures such as catheter care, phlebotomy, and aseptic techniques in various clinical settings including ICU, emergency departments, or outpatient clinics.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care environments like Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers to deliver comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain infection control standards through proper use of PPE and adherence to hospital protocols for infectious disease management.
- Support patients during transfers and mobility exercises using equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer belts to ensure safety and comfort.
Skills
- Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation.
- Experience working in diverse healthcare settings including hospitals (ICU, PICU), nursing homes, hospice care, outpatient clinics, or home health environments.
- Knowledge of physiology and anatomy to effectively monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately.
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to medical-surgical nursing, geriatrics, pediatrics, and behavioral health.
- Ability to perform basic life support (BLS) certification and demonstrate competence in emergency response procedures.
- Experience caring for individuals with disabilities or those requiring specialized memory or dementia care programs.
- Strong communication skills to interact empathetically with patients, families, and healthcare team members while maintaining confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines.
