What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Administrator position at CareArc, Inc.?
CareArc is looking for a full-time IT Administrator to join our team. The IT Administrator installs, configures, and support our organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems. Monitors our network to ensure network availability to all system users and performs necessary maintenance to support network availability. Works with the executive team to move technology systems in a direction needed to provide for the future needs of the company. Manage and maintain all 3rd party technology vendor relationships. Develop, design, and maintain all network security systems and testing.
Primary Functions
- Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, or other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary.
- Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures to protect data, software, and hardware.
- Gather data pertaining to CareArc needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements.
- Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.
- Monitor network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.
- Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, as well as determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.
- Research new technologies by attending seminars, reading trade articles, or taking classes, and implement or recommend the implementation of new technologies.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree preferred; field of study, Information Technology or technology related field. Experience may be considered in place of education.
- Experience designing, installing, configuring, and maintaining networks, security systems, audio/video systems, and CCTV systems.
- Experience with physical network, audio/video, CCTV, and security systems wiring and design.
