Physical Therapist Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients in various settings, including outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, and home health environments. Duties
As a Physical Therapist Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting physical therapists in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients.
• Conducting therapeutic exercises and activities to enhance mobility, strength, and coordination.
• Monitoring patient progress and reporting any changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
• Educating patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and home care strategies.
• Maintaining accurate documentation of patient care and progress in accordance with medical standards.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participating in discharge planning to facilitate smooth transitions for patients leaving care settings.

Experience
The ideal candidate will possess:

• Knowledge of medical terminology and physiology relevant to physical therapy practices.
• Experience working with diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, and those requiring skilled nursing or home health services.
• Familiarity with discharge planning processes and the ability to develop effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• A strong commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining a professional demeanor in all interactions.

Pay: $34.41 - $50.00 per hour
