OUR IDEAL HOSPICE RN

THE DAY TO DAY
As a Hospice RN, you coordinate and supervise the care provided to ensure positive outcomes. You are committed to your patients and you put their needs at the forefront of all nursing efforts. With attention to detail, you observe them for signs of discomfort and take quick action to alleviate any pain. You initiate a plan of care for all patients, including those with terminal illnesses, then instruct and follow-up with caregivers to ensure patient needs are met. By including your patients and their families in the care plan, you empower them and increase the quality and appropriateness of the care given.
You keep the highest standards for yourself by maintaining knowledge of state and federal regulations, participating in the quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) program, and remaining professional in all of your duties. To continually expand your knowledge and develop your skills, you take part in continuing education opportunities, including studies, seminars, and workshops. You keep accurate documentation and submit it in a timely manner. The safety and wellbeing of your patients is your top priority and you look out for any safety hazards in their environment, then take steps to reduce or eliminate them.
