The Clinical Director is responsible for managing and developing a regional therapy team in El Paso, Texas, ensuring high-quality patient care, and leading to the planning and coordination of all therapy functions, especially within this dedicated region. The Director also plays a key role in strategic planning, budget planning, driving initiatives that enhance the delivery of therapy services in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values, and ensuring key KPI’s are achieved within this region each quarter.

Through their education, experience, and leadership, the Director provides guidance, and mentorship. This supports all administrative staff members and clinicians within their region, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and compassion.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct all home healthcare therapy services to ensure optimal clinical processes and operational effectiveness, as well as to ensure provision of quality services consistent with applicable government.
  • Ability to carry a caseload of 5 to 12 visits/week to support the region
  • Manages the day-to-day activities of their team’s department, consistent with organizational goals, and provides leadership and support to the therapy team, other directors within the organization, and Patient Access staff.
  • Oversees the Regional Clinical Managers and Team Leads to ensure an effective coverage system of supervision of clinicians, particularly during business hours.
  • Collaborates with the Administrator and all other departments to support patients/families, development of strategies relative to operational needs, including but not limited to hiring needs and retention, as well as assisting with planning strategic initiatives of the organization. 
  • Monitors patient satisfaction with therapy services provided, as well as assists Regional Clinical Managers with complaints/grievances when they need support.
  • Coordinate with local clinical operations, including clinical orientation and training of clinical staff (clinical and regulatory) including new employee orientation, mentor programs, performance improvement plans, and re-education and continuing education programs.
  • Maintains an awareness of changes in legislation that impact business operations and liability. 
  • Oversees the clinical department budgets and determines/allocates funds accordingly.

Must Have:

  • Master’s degree and/or Doctorate in fields of Occupational, Physical, or Speech Therapy.
  • Minimum of two years of home healthcare experience, preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a clinical management role, preferred.
  • Extensive understanding of the administrative side of the industry such as policies, processes, procedures, rules, regulations and laws.
  • State licensure approved by the State of Texas from Department of Regulatory Agencies, Divisions and Occupations (DORA). 
  • CPR Certification.
  • Current TB testing & screening upon hire, and annually thereafter.
  • Possession of a valid Colorado Driver's License with reliable transportation and applicable car insurance.

Salary: $90,000 - $95,000, plus potential bonus, Compensation dependent on experience.
