Contract Recovery Coach -Muskegon County Probation and Parole
Care One is seeking a dedicated Peer Recovery Coach for a full time position in Muskegon, MI
- Probation/Parole Offices - Muskegon County, MI
- Monday-Friday - No Nights, Weekends, or Holidays
- 8:00am - 4:30pm
- PTO
- Weekly Pay
Recovery Coach for Parole and Probation Offices: This position is trained by MDOC to provide direct support to individuals on probation or parole with substance abuse histories.
Responsibilities of the Recovery Coach:
- Educate about substance use disorders, recovery pathways, medicated assisted treatment options, and community resources.
- Create personalized plans to ensure the care and support meet the individual's needs and circumstances.
- Build rapport to motivate individuals throughout their recovery journey.
- Provide group and one on one support to program participants.
- Collaborate with providers and agents to ensure adherence and engagement.
Qualifications of the Recovery Coach:
- MDHHS CPRC - Up to date, issued after 6.2024.
- Personal experience with a substance use disorder.
- 3 years of sobriety
- Familiarity with substance use disorders and the role of MAT.
- Ability to build rapport and engage individuals in recovery services.
- Experience providing resources, individually and community based
- Proficiency in creating personalized plans, conducting assessments, and tracking recovery progress.
- Experience facilitating one-on-one and group discussions.
- Strong verbal and written skills
