What are the responsibilities and job description for the Telecommunications Operator Per Diem position at Care New England?
Job Summary: The Telecommunications Operator provides efficient and courteous handling of telecommunications services in the hospital, including answering calls, maintaining and operating switchboard equipment, and dispensing patient information. Provides paging/beeper services, and serves as back-up for Info Desk Receptionist.
Specifications: High school graduate or equivalent. Experience working with telephone switchboard equipment desirable. Must possess a good memory, a clear, well-modulated voice, strong interpersonal skills and be fluent in the English language. Must be able to perform job duties in a noisy area with frequent interruptions.
