Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in performing patient assessments, including measuring vital signs, collecting patient history, and documenting observations.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records (EHR) of patient information, interventions, and outcomes.
- Communicate patient status and changes to the registered nurse or physician.
- Administer oral, topical, and injectable medications as ordered by healthcare providers.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions to medications and report any concerns promptly.
- Work closely with registered nurses, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Communicate effectively within the healthcare team to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient needs.
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and mobility.
- Monitor patient safety and intervene to prevent falls, injuries, or other hazards.
