You will be the friendly face greeting patients, managing medical documentation, and assisting healthcare providers with vital clinical tasks.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients warmly, verify their information, and facilitate the check-in process using AthenaOne systems.
- Collect and record vital signs, patient histories, and other relevant clinical data with accuracy and professionalism.
- Assist healthcare providers with procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS).
- Manage patient appointments efficiently while maintaining organized medical records and documentation in compliance with privacy regulations.
- Support clinical workflows by performing intake assessments, updating medical histories, and ensuring proper ICD coding for billing purposes.
- Handle administrative tasks including answering phones, scheduling appointments, processing insurance forms, and managing electronic health records.
- Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment while adhering to infection control protocols specific to hospital medicine and emergency medicine settings.
Experience
- Prior experience working in a medical office environment with knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management is highly preferred.
- Clinical skills such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and vital signs collection.
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent patient service while managing multiple responsibilities in outpatient or inpatient environments.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred.
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
