Role Description The Home Support Worker role is a part-time, on-site position based in Sydney. Day-to-day responsibilities include providing personal and practical support to clients in their homes, assisting with daily living activities, light housekeeping, meal preparation, and transport services as needed. The role also involves monitoring clients’ wellbeing, supporting their independence and social engagement, and promptly reporting any concerns to supervisors or partner organizations. Home Support Workers are expected to build respectful, trusting relationships with clients, follow care plans and safeguarding procedures, and maintain clear documentation of services provided.
Mandatory job requirements (for domestic assistance):
- First Aid (HLTAID003, HLTAID011, HLTAID004, HLTAID012)
- NDIS Worker Screening ID or AU National Police Check
- COVID-19 fully vaccinated with booster
- Available most days and can start ASAP
- Willing to work on a casual basis and to travel in the surrounding suburbs
For personal care service, you must have all the above requirements and:
- Cert III/IV in Aged Care, Disability, Individual Support or Nursing
Additional requirements for transport services:
- Comprehensive car insurance - with worker’s name listed as main driver or insured driver
- Full driver licence
